Watchet skittlers into pairs finals


IN the pairs competition in the Watchet and District Men's Skittles League, Dave Sully and Dave Langdon (Williton Club), Darren Blows and Aaron Glynn (Bottoms Up), Neil and Dave Cobb (Hotshots) and Steve Thrush and Bill Ashby (Wyndham Oddballs) are through to the finals.

The finals will be held at The West Somerset Hotel on Tuesday, May 27.

Results: P. Chilcott/A. Cornish 198, D. Sully/D. Langdon 200; C. Groves/S. Norman 180, D. Blows/A. Glynn 213; B. Bishop/A. Cridlin 210, D. Cobb/N. Cobb 218; P. Overton/P. Perkins 189, S. Thursh/B. Ashby 193.

The Falcons finished runners-up in the Premier Division by a 37-pin over over Bicknoller A.

Philip Ash was top of the alley with 129 for Bicknoller A and Adrian Fish hit 124 for the Falcons.

The Penny Farthings won the B Division with a five-pin victory over Combwich Otters.

The teams were level after nine hands and Kevin Ford had a 14, 17 and 18 spare in his total of 111 for the Otters.

In the play-off match for the Champion of Champions, Whitehouse Tankers had a 97-pin win over Hi Ho Lucky Bs.

Martin Codrington was in great form with 137 for the Tankers and Stuart Bailey hit 108 for Hi Ho Lucky Bs.
