THREE members of Bishops Lydeard Football Club were recognised at the annual Somerset FA Charter Standard awards night.
Iain Hunter won the Football Workforce Award for his enormous contribution to the progress of the club over the past ten years.
Gemma Bowker scooped the Young Leaders Award and will go forward to the national event while Chris Heayns was named McDonalds Grassroots Coach of the Year and will progress to the regional FA event.
The awards ceremony recognises individuals committed to raising standards and achieving excellence.
Bob Hemburrow, director of football development at the Somerset FA, said: "The achievement of these awards follow years of commitment and dedication by volunteers at Bishops Lydeard.
"It is something everyone involved with the club can be rightly proud of. It takes a lot of people to make a great club but it takes dedicated individuals to raise standards."
