THE finals of the Tone School Sports Partnership Kwik Cricket will be remembered as a six hitting bonanza.

After competing in three previous rounds at Taunton Deane and Taunton cricket clubs, the top two teams from each league met at Somerset's County Ground.

In the small schools final, Stoke St Gregory narrowly beat Stawley. Charlie from Stoke will tell his grand children in years to come about his four consecutive sixes, with the last smashing onto the players pavilion roof.

Congratulations also go to Stawley who played with a weakened squad as their girls were representing the county in a regional competition.

In the large schools competition, the winners were Trinity, with Wiveliscombe securing second place. Somerset leg spinner Michael Munday presented the teams with their medals THE Tone School Sports Partnership primary school tennis tournament, hosted by Heathfield School, ended in an exciting finale. Eight schools had keenly contested the competition over two months. Each team, made up of a boys, girls and mixed pairs had to play four, ten-minute tie break games.

In the last match, Trinity and Bishop Henderson played each other with the winners becoming partnership champions. Reigning champions Trinity easily won the girls doubles match, with Bishop Henderson reversing the score in the boy's doubles. In the mixed doubles Bishop Henderson emerged 12-11 winners to take the title. Trull finished third with Wiveliscombe fourth The young leaders from Heathfield School did an excellent job managing and officiating the events.
