RAY Martin was the Division One winner in Saturday’s stableford qualifier at Taunton Vale.
He had 41 points, Richard Hayes was second with 39 and Phillip Howard finished third on 37.
In Division Two three players tied on 37, but after a countback Chris Sammons came out on top from Lee Lewis and Bob McWilliams.
Richard Gilham headed Division Three with 35 ahead of Paul Goss (33) and Phil Contreras (31).
John Morgan won Division One in Sunday’s medal, but only after a countback edged him in front of Mike Hooper after both had 69s. Kevin Parker was in third position with 70.
Ian Smith headed Division Two with 63 in front of Darren Hooper (65) and Tony Staple (67).
SCOTT Wallbutton, Ian McWilliams and Neil McWilliams were the winners of the Newton Cup at Taunton and Pickeridge on Saturday.
They posted 84 stableford points in the team event, with two scores on each hole to count.
James Bryant, Nick Larcombe and Lee Tomkins were second with 83 and third with 83 were John Foster, Mike Elkington and Barrie Foster.
Tony Dowsett and Lennox Heath won the Captain’s Foursomes on Sunday with 38 points.
David Potter and Cathy Crosby were in second place with 36 while Arthur Morgan and Emelia O’Boyle were third place with 34.
The winner of the ladies’ Club Cup, for the best gross in the Silver Division, was Mary Guy.
The Eileen Grey Trophy, for the best gross in the Bronze Division, was won by Pam Makin with 99.
