Somerset County League Division 2 (W): Creech St Michael 2, Cheddar Res 0.

CREECH made it back-to-back victories as they proved too strong for Cheddar Reserves.

The home team dominated in terms of territory and possession in the opening period but lacked invention in the final third.

It was a similar story after the break until, with 30 minutes left, Scott Drayton broke into the area and was felled from behind. He got up to fire home the kick.

Cheddar then had their best spell and Creech keeper Dan Symons was called on to make a couple of fine saves.

But they weathered the storm and sealed vitory when Somerset CCC wicketkeeper Carl Gazzard netted his first goal for the club after good work from substitute Shaun Bresnahan.

Creech are without a game this weekend.
