Taunton Town are still looking for their first win since August after going down 5-0 away to Cirencester Town in Division One South and West of the Zamaretto League on Saturday.
Peacocks boss Paul West was hopeful of ending that barren run after some much-improved displays, but the side were well beaten by Cirencester.
The visitors were effectively out of the contest by half-time as Cirencester romped into a 3-0 lead with goals from Jason Welsh, Jody Bevan and Rob Hoskins.
After the interval Taunton keeper Lloyd Irish saved a Welsh penalty but, from the resulting corner, Lyndon Tompkins netted the fourth.
Taunton’s misery was completed 18 minutes from time when Tom Etheridge added his name to the scoresheet.
Taunton: Lloyd Irish, Luke Cole (Danny Lane 75 mins), Raiff Gwinnett (Darren Rice 55), Neil Bailey, Dan Short, James Clough (Alexis Piper 55), Andy Butler, John Harris (capt), Shaun Anthony, Craig Veal, Rodney Marsh. Sub not used: Nick Peare.
Tomorrow night (Tuesday), Taunton are away to North Leigh.
