TWO Northover VT Cycling Team members got the 2011 season under way at the weekend when Kelvin Price rode the Mid Devon Road Club’s annual Springtime Pursuit and Tom Cox took on the St Austell Wheelers Hilly.
Price managed to take 15th place in the fast and furious pursuit, avoiding other riders and coming through unscathed as a number of other riders hit the tarmac. Cox took third place in the Veterans category of the Cornish hill race, despite having to get off his bike half way up a hill to re-align his back wheel.
Next week more of the team return to action with Jon Wynn and Sean Childs of the RBRMCA teaming up for the CS Dynamo 2up ten mile event.
