AFTER helping his senior partners to win the Don Burns Trophy at Vivary recently, Pete Jeffery continued to show his worth as a team player by encouraging his sides to win two more competitions.

In the four man Texas Scramble he and team-mates John Troke, Dave Thomas and Keith Parker scored 52.9, just edging out Bob Stock, Dave MacDonald, Derek Moore and Dave Goodall who came in with 53.4.

Third with 54.1 were Stuart Trott, John Blissitt, Dave Hamilton and Dave Beale.

Then in the more testing Bliffin Trophy, played with a yellow ball, Jeffrey and his partners Brian Davey and Roger Morris cruised to a splendid victory with 138 points, 12 ahead of Terry Smith, Pete Sturt and Viv Axford.

One point further back were Richard Brown, Mike Manning and Alan Panks.

In the June Medal Bob Ingram, playing off 14, scored a sound nett 63 and just inched out octogenarian Brian Tottle playing off 19 by one shot. Tudor Humphries was third with 64.

The Pat Carey Bogey saw Bob Stock continue his good form and come home first with +4. Second was Fred Chapman on +3 and third was Barry Cridland on +2.
