Taunton Titans have signed former England Under-19 player back Jemba Bull.

Bull, who has switched from Cullompton, has been one of Devon’s stand-out players in several county championship campaigns.

Coach Tony Yapp said: “Jemba is one of the players I've been watching for some time.

“He's at the top of his game and brings the qualities and experience I’m looking for in the Titans backs division.

“National league rugby is the right stage for Jemba who I’m delighted to welcome to the squad.”

Bull was educated at Blundell’s School in Tiverton where his prodigious rugby talent caught the eyes of the England selectors.

International rugby caps at Under-16 and Under-18 levels were followed by selection to the England U19 squad that toured Australia. Bull said: “I am impressed by Titans’ ambition and professional approach to the game.

“I was privileged to work under Keith Brooking at Cullompton for the past four seasons. Keith is universally respected in South-West rugby circles.

“I look on him as something of a coaching genius and was delighted when Tony gave me the opportunity to rejoin Keith and my old school mate Garry Kingdom at Taunton.

“Titans have a new, fresh and exciting approach to the game.

“I have an eye for the break and like to run attacking lines. I play aggressive defence and believe my style of play is well suited to the Titans game.

“I'm very much looking forward to the season and the challenge of National league rugby.”

Bull is the third new player Yapp has signed for the Titans following the capture of Joel Conlan and Luke Plummer.
