Yeovil Town 5, Plymouth Argyle 0: Comfortable victory for Glovers

YEOVIL Town ran out comfortable 5-0 winners against Plymouth Argyle in a pre-season friendly.

The match was played at Dorchester Town's Avenue Stadium with Yeovil's Huish Park still being prepared for the new season ahead.

But the Glovers took little time in adjusting to their new surroundings and took their lead through new signing Reuben Reid in the ninth minute.

Another new boy, Keanu Marsh-Brown, added a second in the 22nd minute and then Reid - who started his career with Plymouth - made it 3-0 in the 35th minute.

But Plymouth were then reduced to ten men when Nick Chadwick was sent off after appearing to strike Yeovil defender Byron Webster.

Yeovil completed the scoring in the second period with James Hayter, another new man, making it 4-0 in the 70th minute and Reid sealed his hat-trick with eight minutes remaining.
