CRICKET: Taunton St Andrews give kit to charity CRICKET: Taunton St Andrews give kit to charity

Taunton St Andrews CC have donated a large amount of cricket kit to the charity LV=SOS Kit Aid, who will redistribute it to disadvantaged groups both here and abroad.

The kit includes 22 bats, 10 helmets and 60 balls.

Ross Young, the South West Director of LV=SOS Kit Aid said: "We are so grateful to the club for their generosity which will help young people in many countries to play sport which will enrich their lives considerably.

"Last year we redistributed 23.5 tons to 19 countries and there are many more on the waiting list.'”

Taunton St Andrews, wh0 is based at the Wyvern Club, run four Saturday League sides in addition to one Sunday League side.

They also have two sides for the Under 11, Under 13 and Under 15 age groups.

Saints secretary Kevin Sedgebeer said: "We are delighted to help LV=SOS in this way and will hope to do more in the future.

"It is good to know that our kit will be go to deserving, less fortunate young people.”
