Taunton Titans play Dings Crusaders at Hyde Park today in a ‘must win’ game.

They are currently propping up the National League with no points from two outings after losing to highly-fancied Hartpury on Saturday.

Bristol-based Dings won local bragging rights over Clifton on Saturday with an impressive derby win so the Crusaders will come to Hyde Park targeting an away win.

But Titans coach Tony Yapp remains upbeat that the hosts are not far short of a competitive team and will bounce back on Saturday.

He said: “We know what has to be done and the signs are there that we have what it takes to compete in this league.

“On the positive side Chris Bentley made an impressive debut – his forward power and experience will increasingly come to the fore, adding the discipline and steel needed up front.

“Jemba Bull has been working well in training this week and should be in Saturday’s line-up and Will Carrick Smith should also be available.

“We know the importance of Saturday’s game and ask fans to turn out in force to get behind the team.

“We have the talent and need to build confidence and belief.

"A full house today can help."
