RUGBY: Titans dig deep for narrow home victory RUGBY: Titans dig deep for narrow home victory

TAUNTON Titans held out for the six minutes of added time to secure a 25-23 win over Lydney in National Two (South) at Hyde Park yesterday.

Seven days earlier they had suffered a cruel defeat by Clifton in the last play of the game.

This time it was Titans' turn to snatch a late victory.

The crowd were fearing another home reverse as Lydney took a 23-18 lead in the 74th minute.

But Titans replied with a try by 19-year-old substitute Conor Hartley - converted off an upright by Bret Turner - before digging deep to save the points.
