TAUNTON Town have made their first capture of the summer with the signing of Brett Trowbridge from Weston-super-Mare.

The 27-year-old central midfielder has spent the past three years at the Conference South club for whom he made 35 appearances last season.

Before that the majority of his career was with Bridgwater Town.

Peacocks manager Leigh Robinson said: “Brett is a big signing for us and a good statement of intent, not only moving into next season but as a signal of the quality of player we can attract to this club.

“He’s a tremendously gifted footballer who will help enormously in retaining possession and linking up play.

“I am positive that the supporters will really enjoy watching him and I can’t wait to get him involved.”
