TAUNTON Town made it two wins from their opening three Southern League Division One South & West games with a 3-1 win over Salisbury at the Viridor Stadium this afternoon.

Matt Wright put the Peacocks in front after 31 minutes when he headed a long ball from keeper Lloyd Irish over visiting stopper Will Britt.

It was his third goal in as many league games since joining the club from Truro City in the summer.

The Peacocks dominated the first half and had chances to extend their lead before they were pegged back on 56 minutes when Tommy Wright headed Salisbury level following a Lewis Benson corner.

However Leigh Robinson's side restored their advantage on 67 minutes when Matt Wright flicked Jordan Rogers' pass into the path of Adam Kelly who did the rest.

Sub Craig Veal wrapped up the win with a third deep into stoppage time.

More to follow.
