RODNEY Marsh collected three trophies at Taunton Town's annual dinner and presentation evening held at Somerset County Cricket Club.

He won awards for Supporters' Player Of The Year, Players' Player Of The Year and Top Goalscorer.

Jon Vance was named Manager's Player Of The Year, while Simon Ingram won the accolade for Goal Of The Season for his fine finish to cap a great team goal against Didcot Town.

The Tom Harris Trophy for Clubman Of The Year was presented to assistant manager Paul Short to reflect the time and effort he has committed to the club in a variety of roles over the last six years.

Guests enjoyed a three course dinner which was followed by the award ceremonies for Taunton Town Under-18s, Taunton Town Ladies and the first team, during which respective managers Jamie Ward, Becky Farthing and Paul West addressed the audience.

Club chairman Kevin Sturmey also reviewed the season, acknowledging the hard year the club have faced off the pitch since the clubhouse fire and the disappointing campaign on it, but also reflecting on the success of the Under-18 team and the improvement of the playing surface.

Ladies: Most Improved Player, Rebecca Holland; Players’ Player of the Year, Kelly Howard; Manager’s Player of the Year, Hannah Forse.

First-team:Top goalscorer, Rodney Marsh; Goal of the Season, Simon Ingram; Players’ Player of the Year, Rodney Marsh; Manager’s Player of the Year, Jon Vance; Supporters’ Player of the Year, Rodney Marsh; Supporters’ Player of the Year runner-up, Tim Legg; Clubman of the Year, Paul Short.

Other awards: Chris McGrath was presented with the Man of the Match award for Taunton’s last home game of the season against Thatcham Town; while Andy Butler received the April Player of the Month award.
