THE first legs of the Keyline Cup semi-finals took place last Sunday and both games proved enthralling affairs.

Bathpool beat Ash Rangers 1-0 in their home leg, with Rob Chidgey scoring after an hour. Both sides put on a great show on a difficult pitch.

Tone Youth had to settle for a draw as they hosted Hamilton.

Two teams in great form gave no quarter in a gripping match, with Tone Youth striking first when Jake Quick set up Adam Smith, who finished well.

Hamilton hit back late on, scrambling the ball home for a crucial leveller.

In Division One, Old Inn had a convincing 8-3 win at bottom of the division Churchinford.

Taunton North, who are still involved in all three domestic competitions, reached the semi finals of the Mike Whitehead Cup.

They won 4-1 at Cotford Saints; Shane Hills, Tom Ellis, Ryan Martin and Lewis Scutt scored their goals.

Watchet also booked their place in the last four with a great win at Blue Park Rangers, the game ended 3-3 after extra-time, but Watchet held their nerve and took the shoot-out 3-2.

Gareth Conway scored two and Martin Jones one for Blue Park, who must now concentrate on the league.

Dunster fielded an unregistered player in their tie versus Carhampton so the latter were given a 3-0 win.

In the Mike Stewart Cup, all four quarter finals were played.

White Hart Albion cruised into the semis with a 5-0 win over Sophie’s Ferrets, Craig Allen scored two, John Matthews, Luke Thorne and the impressive Ben Every al hit one each.

Trinity Rangers did well to push in form DB Old Boys all the way, but they finally succumbed 3-2.

Phoenix All Stars had a tight 1-0 success over Hardly Athletic, Mark Sidebottom netting the winner - and Dulverton were awarded a 3-0 win over Northern Lions, who failed to raise a team.
