WELLINGTON AFC have announced that Kevin Hazeldine and Scott Holland are to take charge of the club's first-team for the rest of the 2012-13 season.

Hazeldine ran Wellington Reserves from summer, 2011, until early December that year and was first team assistant manager from December, 2011, until September, 2012, while Holland is club captain and has been a long-serving defender.

The pair took charge of the side following the recent decision of manager Jamie Ward to take over at Tiverton Town, where he has been joined by assistant boss Paul Short.

Hazeldine and Holland ran team matters over the Easter weekend, which saw Wellington win 3-2 at Elmore on Good Friday and then lose 5-2 at home to Sherborne on Easter Monday.

A club spokesman said: "Thanks are expressed to both Kevin and Scott for seeing us through the busy holiday period and also now that they are prepared to bring stability in this respect for the rest of the season.

“We hope everyone will give them the fullest support as we close out the current campaign."
