Wellington beat Warminster 2-1 at home in the Western League, Division One yesterday.

In terms of possession and chances they deserved the win, although it did not come until five minutes from time.

Wellington created all the chances and had all the possession going in the first half, but failed to make their superior play count.

And when Adam Collington hit a fine free kick past Jake Viney, Wellington were on the back foot.

Nicky Ford stepped up and equalised from a goalmouth scramble and the scoreline was more in keeping with what it should have been.

The second half was an even affair, but Wellington kept going, as is their under the management of Mike Hawes and Tim Legg.

And after Liam Cleal - who had a fine game - had hit the post, Luke Redrup used the next passage of play to get the winner and send the Wellington team, management and fans home happy.
