Wellington 3, Bridgwater Town 1
WELLINGTON sealed a league double over Bridgwater Town with a comfortable victory on Good Friday.
The Tangerines won the reverse fixture 2-0 on Boxing Day and it was an equally filthy day this time around, while there was plenty of interest in the two teams - Bridgwater were fielding ex-Wellington stars Connor Sidley-Adams and Jack Taylor, while Sam Towler had turned down a move to the Robins earlier in the season.
Perhaps inevitably it was Towler who struck first, handing Wellington an 18th-minute lead just moments after the hosts had struck the bar.
The Tangerines doubled their advantage from the spot just shy of the half-hour mark, with Ian Bellinger slotting home after Mike Duffy had been penalised for a foul in the box.
Glen Wright made it three shortly after the interval and Wellington survived a consolation from Tom Llewellyn as well as a sending off on 72 minutes to see out the three points.
Next up for Welly is a trip to Cadbury Heath on Monday.

Bishops Lydeard 4, Chard Town 2
BISHOPS Lydeard also enjoyed derby success on Good Friday, defeating Chard Town 4-2.
The hosts flew out the traps and were 2-0 up inside five minutes through Ryan Brereton - after just 40 seconds - and a penalty from Mark Clunie.
Chard pulled one back after quarter of an hour through Ryan Parris but Lydeard restored their two-goal advantage on the stroke of half-time as Jordan Lovibond finished a fine move.
Liam Cleal set up an exciting second half by reducing the arrears to 3-2 shortly after the restart, and it took Brereton's second three minutes from time to finally settle Lydeard nerves.
On Monday, Lydeard travel to Chippenham Park.
