YEOVIL Town manager Gary Johnson was in reflective mood following the Glovers' 2-0 defeat at Huddersfield Town on the last day of the 2011-12 season.

Johnson, albeit disappointed at losing, told the BBC that it had been a great second-half to the season in which the Glovers successfully saw off the threat of relegation.

And Johnson, who returned to Huish Park as manager in January, said: "We have to work hard in the summer, as these sort of games prove that we had four or five, or maybe six or seven out there that we think can compete at this level, but we also have four or five that can't. We know that as well.

"At the end of the day, the club has had a great second half to the season, so we must not get too down about it."

Johnson added: "We didn't want to come to Huddersfield and get beaten, and I was certainly out there right until the 92nd minute, or whatever it was, trying to get the lads going.

"We did create a couple of chances and it was better in the second half than it was in the first, because I thought we were very slow to start with.

"We looked like we were on holiday, and we reminded them at half time that no way had their holiday started."
