WEPL Premier One
Taunton St Andrew’s 151-2 beat
Potterne 150 by 8 wkts

JAMES Hayman and Lloyd Alley destroyed the home batting with eight wickets between them before the top four cruised to victory.

Potterne seemed to be going well at 100-2, losing Luke De Souza and Tom Cullen to Alley at 15 and 45 and Josh De Souza was going well when he was caught behind by JJ Poole for 43, one of five catches by the keeper.

Harry Clements bowled Neil Clark but Josh De Souza was still there and Potterne had reached 140-4 when Poole caught him off Hayman.

From there the home side collapsed to 150 all out as Hayman and Alley cleared up. Hayman posted 4-32 while Alley took 4-46.

Clements backed them both with 2-45, the whole innings being over in under 30 overs.

James Regan and Ed Byrom opened and Regan was in no mood to mess about hitting five fours in his 22 before Dylan Higgins had him caught.

Byrom hit a brisk 51 not out with Steve Jenkins hitting 38 and by the time Michael Leask hit an unbeaten 31, it was all over.
