RACHEL Priest hit 72 off 36 balls to lead Western Storm to their first Kia Super League title, avenging last year's final defeat to Southern Vipers.
Earlier, Storm won their semi-final by three wickets against Surrey Stars, who had made 100-7 (Anya Shrubsole taking 3-22).
The reply was in trouble at 12-3 and then 17-4, as Marizanne Kapp claimed 3-11, but Taylor (37no), Georgia Hennessy (21) and Shrubsole got Storm over the line with seven balls to spare.
The final followed soon afterwards in Hove, and despite Taylor taking 3-28 (three wickets in seven balls), Vipers posted a very competitive 145-5.
But Priest stepped forward with her decisive 72, and although she fell at 94-3, Taylor capped a fine day's work by combining with Somerset captain Sophie Luff to finish the job.
Both finished unbeaten on 30, and Taylor hit a six to win it in style, Storm reaching 151-3 to claim a maiden title and spark celebrations.
