KING'S College student Pearllan Cipriano and King’s Hall pupil and Matthew Harrison, won a combined three county titles in the Somerset junior championships at Blackbrook Tennis Centre Taunton.

Pearllan won both the Under-16 and Under-18 girls titles, beating Bethany Lacey in both events, while Matthew won the Under-12 title in a hard- fought match against Louis Skupien.

The result raises Matthew to within the top 20 nationally in his age group.

Adrian Simcox, director of tennis at King’s, who coaches both players, said: “These were major achievements for both players and an indication that the tennis programme in place at both King’s and King’s Hall is starting to bear fruit.”
