SATURDAY saw another win for Wimbleball Rowing Club’s Juniors at Exeter.
The Juniors joined teams of all ages from across the South West, to compete in the Exeter Head race.
Juniors race the short course distance of 2200m, along the Exeter Canal.
The course took them under narrow Topsham Bridge, round bends, under the motorway bridge and past various floating nesting platforms on the way to the finish.
Following their win a couple of weeks ago at Totnes, Tom and Charlotte Enright competed successfully once again in the J16x2 with Charlotte rowing up two age categories.
Tom also competed in the J16x1. Later in the afternoon, Charlotte was joined by J14 partner, Becky Ansell.
They beat crews from Dart Totnes and Exeter with a winning time of 12m 08.52s and received engraved tankards at the presentation at the end of the event.
