ON a cold and frosty morning, some 41 Running Forever Running Club members took part in the annual Stoke Stampede 10k road race on Sunday.

Leading the club home was Bailey Turner in 22nd place with 39m 33s.

Meanwhile six club members took part in the Wellington Monument Run before Christmas.

Stephanie Newberry led the club home in 50th place (45m 43s). She was followed by Adrian Edwards (74th, 48m 20s), Louise Hawkins (91st, 50m 38s), Richard Carman (96th, 51m 4s), Richard Mackrory (118th, 53m 11s) and Liz Latchford (137th, 54m 50s). There were 196 finishers.
