BEAVER Ford have given a huge boost to Minehead Cricket Club’s 150th anniversary launch weekend by putting up a Ford Fiesta Zetec worth £14,500 to anybody who gets a hole in one at the Pete Trego Golf Day at Minehead and West Somerset Golf Club on Saturday, March 21.
And that’s not all because in addition to the Ford Fiesta Zetec, Beaver Ford have donated three other hole-in-one prizes.
Anybody who gets a hole in one on the 203 yard 4th will win a three night break at Praia D'El Rey Golf Resort in Portugal, which includes flights, half board, car hire and golf.
The next hole in one opportunity is at the 149 yard 10th hole where the lucky golfer will win two nights at Forest of Arden, which includes half board and two rounds of golf, while anyone who cards a hole in one at the 129 yard 14th hole will win a set of TaylorMade RocketBladez Irons.
The Pete Trego Golf Day will raise funds towards Minehead Cricket Club’s new outdoor nets and Minehead and West Somerset Golf Club’s new training facility that will benefit both junior and senior members.
The previous evening Pete Trego will be linking up with former England international Nigel Redman for a Sportsman’s Dinner at Minehead Barbarians Rugby Club, funds from which will go to the junior sections of both clubs.
Both events are fully booked – 120 guest tickets for the rugby event have all been sold while 36 teams of four for the golf day, so the 150th Anniversary look like like getting off to a flying start.
