DEAN Wildman with 72 was the winner of the Osmond Cup, the Medal Winners Final that took place at Taunton and Pickeridge Golf Club on Saturday.

Chris Chedzoy with 73 was second but only after countback edged him ahead of third placed Jell Land who returned with the same score.

In the First Division of Sunday’s Stableford it was Paul Deal who took the honours with 42 points, four ahead of second placed Jacob Eyres with 38, while Paul Neal on 37 was third.

Fred Yardley came out on top in the second division, Jane Neal was second on 35 and Tom Small was third with 33.

On Tuesday the Ladies Section took part in a Bowmaker Stableford that was played in teams of three, with the best two scores to count on the par fours and fives and all three scores to count on the par threes.

At the end of a most enjoyable round that was played in lovely sunny conditions it was Jacky Ford, Gill Jowett and Jenny Bevan with 86 points who were the winners.

Ali McGown, Fiona Lovell and Marion Beranek were second with 83 points, one ahead of third placed Carolyn Stait, Carol Keenan and Margaret Farley with 82.

Team twos were recorded by Carolyn Stait, Carol Keenan and Margaret Farley; Linda Lynch, Jeanne Leader and Liz Stevens; Anna Rees, Senga Westwater and Angela Hollis and Jane Ledsham, Caroline Cooper and Ann Williams.

The nine-hole Stableford Competition was won by Diana Bowerman with 16.
