CURTIS Edwards, who has recently rejoined the club, was the winner of the top division of Saturday’s Stableford at Taunton and Pickeridge with 39 points, two ahead of second placed Simon Mehrlich with 37, while Jon West was third with 36.

In Division Two it was Roy Miller who claimed the honours with 39 points, Clive Barton was second with 37 and points and Martin Tuffill third on 35.

Sunday’s Stableford saw Matt Betteridge run out the winner with 40 points but only after countback edged him ahead of second placed Lee Hellier and third placed Mark Ledger who both also returned with the same score.

The inclement weather on Tuesday didn’t deter the women from braving the elements to compete for the Joan Elliott Trophy Medal that was competed for by the 2015 monthly medal winners.

Louise Worth was the winner of the trophy after recording a 73, one ahead of second placed Caroline Cooper with 74.

In the Stableford it was Marion Beranek who was the victor with 30 points, one ahead of Lady Captain Carolyn Stait with 29.

Twos were recorded on the round by Vicky Davies and Liz Stevens.

On Tuesday the Juniors played their annual match against the T&P Seniors. Played in a great spirit it was the seniors who just sneaked home to victory but great fun was had by all, with the seniors being very complimentary about their much younger opponents, who all conducted themselves in a most creditable manner
