TAUNTON bobsleigh duo, George Johnston and Aimee Davey will be going for gold on Saturday when their long wait to compete at the Youth Olympic Games in Lillehammer comes to an end.
Richard Huish student, George, 17 and Aimee, also 17, who is from Chard but attends Queen's College, will enter the fray on Saturday as the bobsleigh monobob competition gets under way.
Aimee will be in monobob action at 10am local time, while world number one George begins his quest for gold at 12pm.
The Youth Games got under way in Norway last Friday, where George was Team GB's flag bearer at the opening ceremony - but the pair have had to wait until the penultimate day of competition for their chance to shine.
