QUEEN’S College swimmer Jacob Greenow competed among the world’s elite at an international meet in Marseille, France, at the weekend.
Greenow, who is 18 and lives in Taunton, had a successful time at the three-day competition.
He was the top-placed British swimmer in the meet and additionally the second-placed junior (18 and under).
In his main event, the 400m individual Medley, he finished in ninth place overall (top British swimmer).
In the 200m IM, he also finished ninth overall and third in the juniors.
And in the 200m breaststroke, he was 11th overall and third in the junior competition, knocking two seconds off his personal best time.
In the 200m backstroke he finished in 13th place overall and was again placed third in the junior competition.
Greenow is now looking forward to competing at the British Swimming Championships in Sheffield next month.
