TAUNTON Racecourse enjoyed a bumper turnout for their Spring Meeting on Monday, when the big fields and mainly dry weather attracted a 30 per cent larger crowd than for the same meeting last year.

Once again it was a local horse, Regal Flow (bred and owned by Heather Dunn and trained by Bob Buckler), that was the most popular winner when, ridden by Sean Houlihan, he took the prize in the big race of the day at 15-2.

Regal Flow could well be running in Midland Grand National at Uttoxeter today (Saturday), where he will be worth looking out for.

The next fixture at Taunton is on Monday, March 26, when they host the Game and Wildlife Conservation Trust Easter Race, when the first of the seven races on the card is due off at 2.20pm.
