NATHAN Beesley was the winner of the Annual St Margarets Hospice Cup at Taunton and Pickeridge at the weekend.

In fine weather the competition was full with 142 competitors taking part in the sunshine.

Beesley’s nett score of 63 saw him finish four shots clear of Lynn Dewhurst in Division 3 with a handicap reduction of three shots to 20.

In Division 1 Kieran Hector also saw his handicap cut to five with a fine nett 65 to finish one shot clear of runner up Stuart Coleman who saw his handicap cut to nine.

In Division 2 Stuart Parkinson was two clear of runner up Scott Wallbutton. Parkinson shot a nett 65 to see his handicap cut by a shot to 12.

In a recent TUAP Stableford W Scott was the clear winner with 42 points, finishing four clear of Greg Jackson. Special mention must go to Roger Wallbutton who holed out for a very impressive eagle 2 on the 430 yard 17th.

In the midweek medal, Chris Duckworth continued his fine run of form to shoot a nett 64 and see his handicap reduced to single figures.

Runner up was Brian Trickey who saw his handicap reduced to eight. In Division 2 Keith Bevan shot a nett 75 to finish two clear of Pat Morgan.
