DANIELLE Waterman made a piece of history last night, becoming England Women's all-time record try scorer, as the Red Roses finished their Six Nations campaign with a 33-11 win over Ireland.

Waterman, who was born in Taunton and grew up in Minehead, was selected on the left wing and broke the deadlock in the 11th minute as she pounced to touch down in the corner.

That was the Somerset star's 47th five-pointer for her country, giving her the honour of being the Red Roses' top try scorer of all time.

England claimed a bonus-point win in Coventry, but it was not enough to retain their Six Nations title, as France beat Wales in their final match to secure the Grand Slam.
