Minehead rewarded their Past Players and Supporters Association with a bonus point win, but Tor were well worth their late consolation try.
The Tor pack had the upper hand for long periods in the first half but Minehead had the edge in key positions and made the absolute best of their share of possession.
Man-of-the-match Jack Claydon at scrum-half opened the scoring for Minehead early on and always demanded the full attention of the Tor back row. A promising move down the left wing saw the ball moved all the way across field to Olly Thomas on the right where Tor went offside at the breakdown and the quick-thinking Claydon took the tap to score under the posts and then add the conversion.
Tor then enjoyed their best period of the game and it was a further 20 minutes before Minehead extended their lead. Skipper Justin Harris broke from the back of a lineout in the visitors’ 22 and Tor again conceded a penalty, Claydon added the three points.
Harris added another try to give Minehead a 15-0 lead at half-time.
Olly Thomas added another after the break and Claydon scored his second and added the conversion.
Hard running and a couple of well-timed passes gave Tor their try but Minehead had the last word, adding a further penalty just before the close.
