Minehead Barbarians Under-10s travelled to South Molton on Sunday and continued their run of good form.

Finn Reeson and Edward Francis gave Minehead an early lead before Bertie Calladine and Harry Hirst made it 20-0. Jake Metcalfe added his name to the score sheet before Hirst scored his second try.

Metcalfe scored again after the break and then South Molton pulled a try back. Minehead immediately countered for Lewis Hercock to score and in the dying minutes Jacob Peters scored Minehead’s ninth try, making it 45-5 to the visitors.

Minehead’s Under-9s also travelled to South Molton.

Minehead dominated the first half of the first match and Ben Mouzouri soon opened the scoring with two tries. Edward Howard made it three before the break with a typically agile run.

With South Molton playing down the slope in the second half they pulled back two tries but were unable to level the scores as Minehead’s defence held firm.

The second match saw Minehead playing with more fluency and Joel Floyd, Mouzouri and Sam Gorton cashed in on that as they scored in a 20-0 win.
