AFTER the Titans made it four home wins in a row at Hyde Park last Saturday head coach Tony Yapp says they now have a great opportunity to finally get their first away win under their belt.

He said: We’re really pleased with the win last Saturday, we’ve made a big fuss this year about making Hyde Park into a ‘fortress’ for us so to get four wins on the bounce now is very good.

“We identified early on we wanted to emphasis winning our home games, but I also think that over the course of the season we’ll keep improving and pick up some important wins on the road as well.

“If we can do that I should bode well for our long-term progression as a squad.

“Last season was more a case of survival after lots of changes at the club, but now we’re hopefully laying some proper foundations for future success.

“Looking forward to this weekend at Bishops Stortford, it’s a great opportunity for us to get a second win in a row and our first away from home.

“Like us they’ve done well in their home fixtures, but they’ve also generally only been beaten narrowly in away matches too so they’ll be a big test for us.

“They’ll be well organised and, given the current league positions, they’ll see the match as a must win at their own ground.

“It’s a long journey for us on Saturday, with an early start in the morning, so we need to ensure we turn up with the right attitude or otherwise it could be a tough time for us and an opportunity missed.

“Having said that it’ll be fantastic for us if we do win, as we could then return to Hyde Park with even more confidence and self-belief for a big game with Clifton on November 9.”
