The Cornish All Blacks of Launceston descend on Taunton this Saturday (3pm) to do battle with a Titans side unbeaten at their Hyde Park fortress this season.

After picking up a bonus point in the loss at Cambridge last weekend the Titans can still stay in touch with the league top dogs if they can topple the All Blacks on Saturday.

Head Coach Tony Yapp said: “Both teams know each other very well, and the fixture has a mouth-watering South-West derby feel to it.

“Both myself and some of the current players have had spells at Polson Bridge, and Chris Brown was coaching there before he took time away from rugby in 2009.

“We always enjoy matches against the Launceston boys, but we need to bounce back from the Cambridge loss and will be giving 100% to keep our home record intact.”

The CABs travel to Hyde Park on the back of a tight 22-20 home win over Chinnor, and currently sit just three places behind the Titans in the National Two table.

Forwards coach Chris Brown said: “Having spent five seasons at Polson Bridge, the memories I have of that time in my life will stay with me forever.

“This week however my focus must be on helping to deliver a Titans win.

“We’re expecting another very tough test but training this week has been excellent and I’m confident the team can do what’s asked of them.

“I’ve been looking forward to this game since pre-season. I’m sure neither side will give any quarter so it should be a really exciting game for the spectators to enjoy.”
