TAUNTON Titans take to road today when they visit Bishop's Stortford in National League 2 (S).

After last week’s late win over Worthing Raiders, Titans will have to raise their game again as another of the league’s pre-season favourites attempt to spoil their unbeaten start.

Bishop’s Stortford finished last season as the in-form team.

After moving off the bottom of the table just before Christmas, they eventually finishing third after taking some serious scalps on their march up to the top.

Bishop’s were also the only team that put a slight blip on Taunton’s otherwise perfect home record.

They steamed into a 24-0 half time lead and it took all Titans’ resolve to fight back and claim a draw.

In contrast when Taunton visited Bishop’s Stortford it was Taunton who rushed into 40 plus lead only for their hosts to come back strongly before Titans held on to claim the victory.

With both teams liking to spread the ball around and score tries it could be another high-scoring affair this Saturday.

Last weekend saw another two players put on the Titans shirt for the first time this season.

Back row forward Robert Burnell, who has joined the club from Ivel Barbarians, came off the bench to make his debut.

Also coming off the bench for his first appearance of the season was Sam Richardson who has been absent during the first month of the season due to his Army training at Sandhurst.

Both players will be available this weekend along with Jon Gatford and Jack Claydon who missed the trip to Worthing.
