TAUNTON Titans see the second half of the season in tonight with a break from the norm when they visit their nearest league rivals, Clifton, for a match under lights which kicks off at 7.45pm.

Every year Clifton put in the request for the Friday night game and with this game in the middle of the build up to Christmas it seemed the best scenario all round to accept this seasons invite, especially with the Clifton club around the corner from Cribbs Causeway.

After last weeks home win against a strong Launceston side the Titans will face an even tougher task against Clifton this week that like Taunton have lost their unbeaten home record from last season.

Clifton who have a great link with Bristol RFC and boast several of their academy players amongst their squad but the association run to more than just the players as Bristol also use their ground as a training base.

The Titans will look to keep the same tight squad together from last weekend that saw them show the type of character a good team needs to come back from a half time deficit to claim the win, especially when you weren’t playing well.

Apart from the late withdrawal of Kieran Ball to a hamstring injury there were no further injuries and the coaches will be looking to come out of the Christmas break with some of the players on the injured back for duty in the New Year.
