TAUNTON Titans resume their National league 2 challenge on Saturday when they entertain Old Elthamians at Hyde Park (3pm).
The Titans currently sit third in the table with 11 wins from 16 matches.
Chris Brown, the team’s forwards coach, said: “At the halfway stage we are up significantly on away wins, and up on points from last season.
“We have been in and around the top three for the entire time.
“It is certainly something to be pleased with, although we are aware that there is half the season left to go.
“One of the significant improvements is amongst players. We have seen many of our senior players begin to blossom this year, and the likes of Jake Woolmore and Sam Skinner have gone on to represent Exeter Chiefs.
“However, while their achievements are pleasing, it is the stock value of the entire squad which has been significant.
“Their statistics have improved game to game and the consistency which is associated with higher level performance is beginning to surface. This is testament to their work ethic.
“2014 was a year to be proud of. However, hopes for 2015 are burgeoning with the potential of the squad being another year older and wiser and potential to continue the battle for a top four spot.”
