Taunton Titans v Chinnor (ko 3pm)

THINGS don’t get any easier for the Titans this weekend but I guess that is why you take part in sport – to test yourself and to see how good you actually are, writes Keith Brooking.

This weekend sees the half-way point of the season and the Titans will be put to the test once more when they host league leaders Chinnor.

Chinnor, who last season were flirting with relegation at one stage, have once again invested heavily over the summer.

They have brought in some notable signings with higher league experience, and that activity has contributed to them only losing two games so far this season.

Both of those games have been away to some notoriously hard places to win – Canterbury and Bishops Stortford – and the Titans are once again trying to rebuild their Hyde Park fortress after losing twice at home already this season.

Taunton will be hoping to pick from a strong squad for Chinnor’s visit, although there are still a few injuries and knocks within the team and a late team decision will be made.

One player who will not be playing this weekend is Ratu Vakalutukali who will be adhering to the head injury assessment protocol after leaving the field last weekend after 25 minutes.

Some good news on the fitness front saw Toby East complete his first game of the season down at Redruth after having a prolonged pre-season.
