AFTER a week off, Taunton Titans will be off on their travels once again as they head east to take on Worthing Raiders in the National Two South fixture.

In their last game, the Titans were beaten by the better side in Bishop’s Stortford and things don’t get any easier this coming weekend when they face a side who are desperate for points to stay in the league.

Currently, 11 league places and 47 points separate the two teams with the Titans in fourth and Worthing in 15th, the second relegation place.

Taunton are well aware of the dangers playing teams fighting for every point and will need to be at their best once again to get a result.

Worthing started the season really well winning four out of the first six games, but then a growing injury list took its toll and they only managed to win one other game before Christmas.

Since Christmas, their injury worries continued and they didn’t register another win until they met Barnstaple a few weeks ago in a must-win game that the Raiders won to close the gap on their visitors.

The reverse fixture saw the Titans run in nine tries with Aron Struminski getting a hat-trick on his birthday in the 59-19 win.

The Titans have some injury worries and will be looking to name the squad as late as possible.

With the coaches and players not wanting to let the season just ebb away, they will be aiming to get back to winning ways and record their 11th away win of the season.

Taunton Warriors are also in action this weekend as they make the short trip to take on Clifton 2nd XV (ko 2pm).
