TAUNTON Titans face a tough trip to the side directly above them in the table, Redingensians Rams, in National 2 South on Saturday.

Taunton won the reverse fixture 31-21 at the end of November but the Rams have been consistent since then and sit a point above the Titans, though Tony Yapp’s side have a game in hand after last weekend's game at Henley Hawks was postponed due to snow.

That has been re-scheduled for Good Friday (March 30), with matches against the top two - Chinnor and Cinderford - to follow in consecutive weeks at the start of April.

This is Taunton's first match since the departure of captain Nick Mason and front row duo Connor Baker and Isaac Dalton, who are playing for Carterton RFC in New Zealand until August.

Elsewhere this weekend, Wellington and Wiveliscombe are looking to stay top of their respective divisions.

Welly make the short trip to Exeter to face Wessex in Cornwall/Devon, while Wivey host lowly Sothert & Pitt in Somerset Premier.

On Sunday, Taunton Colts face their Worcester counterparts for a place in the quarter-finals of the National Under-18 Cup.
