Taunton Titans 26, Tonbridge Juddians 66

TAUNTON Titans rounded off their home campaign in the worst possible fashion as they were humbled by visiting Tonbridge Juddians at the Commsplus Stadium.

On a glorious afternoon for rugby, Tonbridge raced into a 17-0 lead with three early tries as Taunton slept through the opening stages.

Jack Claydon's try got the Titans off the mark, with Gary Kingdom adding the extras, but the visitors hit back with a bonus-point try and then another score straight from the kick-off to move 31-7 ahead.

That advantage became an insurmountable 45-7 by the break courtesy of two more converted tries, leaving the shell-shocked hosts to lick their wounds during the break.

Taunton did at least get the first score of the second period through Connor Banks, though again the visitors did not let their hosts build any momentum and responded with a try of their own to go past 50 points.

Aron Struminski scored twice either side of another Tonbridge score to ensure the Titans also picked up a try bonus point, but the visitors deservedly picked up the final try of the day to leave with an emphatic 66-26 victory.

Taunton, who will finish fourth no matter what happens on the final day, round off their campaign at basement side Broadstreet next weekend.
