COACH Tony Yapp has announced the arrival of Keith Brooking (pictured) to Taunton Titans RFC as his right hand man for the coming season.

Yapp said he was delighted that the experienced Brooking —who has 300 National League games under his belt—was coming to Taunton.

"His attention to detail, organidation and discipline is precisely what's needed to take Titans to the next level,” said Yapp.

Brooking started his rugby career as a junior at Newton Abbot before moving to Bath U21s and on to Exeter. He had spells at Wakefield and Cornish All Blacks before returning to Exeter where he made his name with 199 appearances for the Chiefs.

Brooking represented Devon at all age levels and played for the South West against South Africa A, Argentina & Queensland. He earned an England A cap against South Africa A before bagging the coveted Barbarians shirt.

As a coach Brooking worked with Devon, Cornish All Blacks steering them to third and fourth spots in the old Division One (now the Championship).
