WIVELISCOMBE returned to winning ways with a 55-7 victory at Walcot Old Boys in Bath on Saturday.
Walcot, at the foot of the Somerset one table, found themselves 0-29 down at the half time with the visitors gaining a four try bonus point before the break.
Changes had to be made by Wivey, as is the norm these days, but they were still too strong for the home side, playing some attractive open rugby during an entertaining game refereed by former international official Tony Spredbury.
Wivey's first half tries came from Dan Twose (2), George Rowe and captain Tom Chaffey while fly half Rowe converted two.
Wivey went on to double their try tally in the second period.
Chaffey and Rowe grabbed their second tries of the game with prop Ian England and centre Finlay Grafton crossing for a try apiece. Rowe added three more conversions.
Wivey made several late replacements, upsetting their continuity, allowing Walcot to cross for a late consolation try through Jake Parish. Kike Fraser converted.
