WIVELISCOMBE Under-14s are gearing up for a tough encounter when they travel to Bath on Sunday to face Avon Vale in the semi-finals of the Somerset cup.

The side have been performing particularly well since Christmas and have strung a series of six wins together including a thrilling quarter final win over Bridgwater and Albion.

Team Coach, Simon Higgins is particularly pleased at the way the side have developed their running game, using the speed of their three quarters to deadly effect.

He said: “We have tried to play expansive rugby this season which suits our backs. The forwards are providing a solid platform for this style of game.”
