TAUNTON 3rd XV entertained a spirited London Japenese side for a friendly match on sunday morning. The touring side, whose side are from Tokyo and are working or at university in London, played with a wonderful spirit spinning the ball wide at all opportunities and producing two brilliant tries for their props.
But Taunton side soon took control and the backs ran riot to give them a 59-15 victory in a great game enjoyed by all. Taunton hope to return the fixture next year in London on a small tour to keep up this new friendship.
