BISHOPS Lydeard 2nds started life in Division Two of the Somerset League with a comprehensive 83-run victory over Castle Cary 2nds.
Debutant Charlie Axon top-scored with a fine chanceless 112, with support from skipper John England (62) as Lydeard reached 213-4.
The pick of the bowlers was John Salter (3-25), who was well backed up by Jamie Street and Tim Crowe with two wickets each as Cary got to 130-8.
